On arrival in Belfast and after clearing local customs, we will be met by our local tour manager guide and we will transfer to Carrickfergus on Belfast Lough. Here we will check-in to our hotel, relax and then, in the early evening, enjoy a welcome reception and dinner in the hotel. Coast Road Hotel in Carrickfergus will be our host property for the next four nights. |

Following our breakfast, individuals may elect to join us on a minibus tour of Belfast City with a visit to the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum OR enjoy a relaxing day exploring Carrickfergus on their own. Our tour will include lunch with a late afternoon return. Coast Road Hotel. |

Our first test on our tour. Today we will walk from Carrickfergus Castle to Ballynure village on minor country roads and then on forest tracks through Woodburn Forest. A total distance today of 9 miles, prior to our return to Carrickfergus. Coast Road Hotel. |

Following breakfast we depart for our next walk from Ballynure to Shanes Hill overlooking Larne. This was thought to be the site where Mesolithic man first arrived in Ireland approximately 10,000 years ago. Minor roads and forest tracks for a total of 6 miles. Coast Road Hotel. |

Today we will transfer to our walk while our baggage transfers to our next over-night stop in Ballygally. Our walks today take us from Shanes Hill to Robin Youngs Hill, the site of a Neolithic hill promontory fort. Moorland tracks - 6 miles.

We will walk from Robin Youngs Hill to Carnlough via Glenarm village, home of the present Earl of Antrim, Randall McDonnell. The McDonnells are a branch of the Scottish MacDonald family - Lords of the Isles. The present Lord is Prince Charles.

Today we will enjoy a rare treat as we traverse from Slieveanorra to Breen Wood. Our walk will be on forest roads and riverbank trails and cover a total of 6 miles. During our day, we will have an opportunity to explore Breen Wood, one of the few surviving areas of native oak woods left in Ireland. Overnight: Crockatinney and Glenluce Guest Houses. Ballycastle. |

This is an excellent stopping point for our “day off”. Today you can sleep in and explore Ballycastle or elect to enjoy an optional trip to Rathlin Island. (Ferry fare not included in price as this is dependent on fair weather). Overnight: Crockatinney Guest House and Glenluce Guest House. |

The North Antrim Coastal Path from Carrick-a-rede rope bridge to the Giants Causeway and Dunluce Castle. This is one of the classic coastal walks in Europe and will certainly provide our tour with a most spectacular finish! The distance to be covered over the two days is 16 miles. An early finish on the final day will enable an optional extra visit to the Old Bushmills Distillery, the oldest whiskey distillery in the world, receiving its Charter from James I in 1608 or an opportunity for you to explore and sightsee on this final full day of our tour. This evening we will enjoy a final farewell dinner. Overnight: Crockatinney and Glenluce Guest Houses. |
