Our Cooking School/Chef and Oriveto

The Ristorante Zeppelin:Ristorante Zeppelin
The Ristorante Zeppelin is located in the historic centre of Orvieto, a few paces away from the Communal Palazzo and the magnificent Orvieto Cathedral (1292).
The spirit of the restaurant, the originality of our recipes and the personal contact between our Chef Lorenzo and the guests makes the stop at the Zeppelin restaurant an unforgettable moment of conviviality and a deserved pause from the stress of daily life.

Orvieto
OrivetoOrvieto is world famous for its wine. It is white and dry and called Orvieto Classico. One of the Italy’s oldest cities, Orvieto stands high on a lava plateau located in the south-western portion of Umbria, and the distinctive outline of its cathedral, whose west front glitters in the evening sun, is visible for miles around.
The plateau is all that remains of four extinct volcanoes which provide rich soil for the area's internationally famous white wine.
Today, Orvieto is a lively, lived-in city; a funicular runs between the railway station in the valley and the city itself. Settled originally by Iron and Bronze Age tribes, by 500 BC it had become a leading member of the Etruscan Confederation, and extensive Etruscan remains are still to be seen.
